A girls best friend

I was asked to make this card for my friends nieces 21st birthday. The background paper was the bird ballad from last years stampin up collection. The main image is stamped useing mos digi stamps and a free stamp I got with a stamping magazine. I used various foliage dies and flower dies to make up the surrounding area and a little fencing die for the edge. I got the little key and wee heart gems from The Range craft store. Thanks for visiting my blog today πŸ™‚

Flower Box Card

Hello, In my post today I have a Flower box card. I was asked to make a special card for my sister in laws, sister, for her 50th birthday. I have used metal dies to cut all the flowers and some individual petals and shaped and formed all the individual flowers by hand, I coloured some with Copic markers and glued them together with Tombow glue. The number 50 was made using Mirror card and also cut using die cuts.
This is only the second box card I've made and was definitely easier than the first one.

The box card is made using 1 full A4 sheet of card stock and scored along the long side of the card at 7, 14, 21 and 28 cm which should leave a narrow border measuring about 1.7cm. Turn the card around with the narrow section towards you and trim at 16½cm then score again at 9½ cm starting from the second panel from the top. Cut down each of the folds to the score lines on the right hand side.
I have put a photo of the main flower box template below

Thanks for visiting today.
If you have any questions just ask and I'll help if I can.

Bloom & Grow

For my card this weeks Spot Challenge Blog we were asked to create our own background.
I used the wee foliage leaves & sprigs from Stampin ups Bloom & Grow stamp set

I used the embossing buddy on the Crumb Cake card stock to get rid of any static before stamping the background images in Versamark ink, then shook some white embossing powder over the stamped surface. I then melted this with my heat tool. I then adhered the Crumb Cake card to my card base.
I stamped the little deer image in Crumb Cake ink onto whisper white card, then without moving the stamp or card stock i placed a post it note over the deer image and stamped the deer image again.
I lifted the post it note off and cut around the image then carefully placed it over the deer image to mask over it. I took the tree stamp and positioned the trees where I wanted them and stamped them in Early Espresso ink Then removed the mask to reveal the completed images together.
I used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out the image and then mounted it onto the card base using Dimentionals I stamped the thanks sentiment from  the Sailing Home stamp set in Early Espresso then cut it out and mounted it to my card base again using Dimensionals. I cut 2 small pieces of card in Crumb Cake & Early Espresso then notched them using scissors, I added 3 wee gilded Gems to finish off the card.

Sending Sunshine

Hello!,
For this week I have another card for The Spot Creative challenge.
Its a sketch challenge.
The lovely wee goat image is from Stampin' Ups Way To Goat, Isn't he cute! πŸ˜‰

I began stamping to create the background onto whisper white card
I used the new stamp set Sending Sunshine to create the lovely sunrise
The water was first stamped using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Tumbled Glass
or the wider water image as I couldn't get the water to look pale enough.
The smaller water image was stamped on top in Balmy Blue Ink,
I then i stamped the sun in Crushed Curry.
I stamped the wider image again onto a post it note, then cut out the water edge to use as a mask.
I blended Crumb Cake ink to create the sand although I feel it went a bit too dark..oh well 😞
The sky was blended using Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass, I stamped the clouds in Whisper White ink again from Sending Sunshine.
I cut the wavy panel from Old Olive card and glued it on the bottom left side of the card.
I stamped the sentiment from Way To Goat in Momento Tuxedo Black ink, the coloured him in using Crumb Cake ink, his wee flower was coloured with Melon Mambow ink, and him horns were coloured in  I fussy cut him out and placed him on the wavy hillside.
I die cut the leaves from Peaceful Moments Dies and the grass clump from By The Dock Dies
The sentiment was stamped in tuxedo Black from the Sending Sunshine stamp set.
Thanks again for stopping by
